TopHåndbold has begun its digital journey through a collaborative partnership between fan engagement specialist MANY Digital and NNT DATA Business Solutions. This partnership will see the launch of a new app and BI engine, that will use fan engagement, data, insight, and hyper-targeted marketing to enable 54 clubs and four leagues – along with their sponsors and commercial partners, to get closer to the fan.
NTT DATA Business Solutions believes that intelligent partnerships lead us forward. This exciting project lays the foundation for a strong strategic alliance that will see this collaboration extend beyond the sports vertical, into tourism, retail, health, and transportation.
MANY Digital has extensive experience in digital sports marketing, providing white-label app platform’s, working collaboratively with rightsholders to secure sponsorship, and building and rewarding fan loyalty. Their clients include top Superliga football clubs such as Champions League club FC Midtjylland, OB, FC Nordsjælland, and Esbjerg fB. And in the UK, mass participation events provider LimeLight Sports Club, and Formula E team Mahindra Racing.
“We have addressed some of the challenges faced by the sports industry. We have done this through a white-label app and commercial engine that helps organisations, leagues, and clubs consolidate data into one platform – then use this to deliver hyper-targeted content and marketing activity that’s rewarding to the fan, the rightsholder and their sponsors and commercial partners.
We are excited to form a strong collaborative partnership with NTT DATA Business Solutions, which will significantly improve our existing white-label app and TEAM Manager commercial engine, by integrating into NTT DATA Business Solutions’ existing Big Data and AI platform, Titan. TEAM Manager will become even more data driven, and provide insights and automation to rightsholders, sponsors and commercial partners with the help of artificial intelligence”.Tom Mathiesen, CEO and founder of MANY Digital
“MANY Digital have created an event platform and a business model, which combined with our data platform and ability to work with data, makes perfect sense. Running a handball club or association today is very similar to what we encounter in other industries; where our customers see great value driven through the power of data and insight. The fact that we can take this technology in other sectors, such as the tourism – where we have worked with digital destinations for several years, shows the power of intelligent partnerships in creating new business opportunities. When we launch this Autumn, fans from 54 clubs across four leagues will receive news, live scores, match programs, statistics, entertainment, and loyalty programs, while the commercial partners will have the opportunity for digital, measurable, and segmented exposure through a new targeted channel. It is the hope that the project will help to create an even better framework for the digitalisation of Danish handball and other sports at club and international level in the future”.Per Falck Jensen, Managing Director of NTT DATA Business
